The Knitting and Stitching show London

10 Oct

So me and my mum went to The Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace in London on Saturday. It was amazing! I would highly recommend everyone to go! It is just full to the brim of stalls selling everything a knitter, stitcher, embroider, felt maker, cross stitcher could ever possibly need! And that’s only a small amount of what is there. There was amazing displays of fantastic crafts, home-wares, clothing and sculpture. My particular favourites were the beautiful quilts that were so intricate they look like they would take a lifetime to make.

It is just truly magical. I have never seen so much fabrics, wools and buttons in my life! I only wish I had an endless amount of money to spend!  The day gave me lots of inspiration, and I couldn’t wait to get home and start stitching again. I’m currently working on full length aprons and bags in some awesome retro inspired fabrics and paisley patterns.

Unfortunately I did not have epic amounts of money to spend, but I still managed to buy some prettyful buttons and also the BIGGEST button I have ever seen! It’s nearly the size of my face! I’m currently using it as a coaster…x
