A touch of pink.

19 Jun

My lovely friend is obsessed with pink. Pretty much everything she owns is pink, different shades of pink, but pink none the less! She asked me to make her a full length apron for gardening. It had to be pink and garden themed.

Here is what I made her.

She also wanted me to make a draft excluder after seeing a tapestry ‘Home Sweet Home’ one on Amazon. I tried my best to replicate it! I used a lovely soft pink spotty corduroy for the main part of it and used pink fabric scraps to appliqué the ‘Home Sweet Home’.

I really need to invest in an embroidery foot for my machine as this was fiddly to say the least! It is most definitely a ‘shabby chic’  look which I feel needs improving, but my friend was very pleased with the outcome and I guess that’s what counts at the end of the day!
